Rubber Spray
With the invention of paint spray gun, the application of coats or paints is very much revolutionized. Before the paint spray guns are released into the market, wall or ceiling painting requires rollers or brushes for application. The former methods are not practical anymore especially when big industrial facilities have to be coated with protective layer of paints. The sheer scale of the facilities and area of surfaces to be covered are too huge for just rollers and brushes to complete their painting works. More workers will be needed for the coating operations and it is not cost effective to continue using such method of application anymore.
There are several types of spray guns ranging from pressure, siphon, gravity-feed and HVLP which are still available in the market today. But with the improvement in the technology of spray painting, HVLP spray guns are the most widely used today. So basically rubber spray painting is to apply rubber paints using a spray gun. The rubber paint is basically stored in the reservoir of the spray gun initially before use. Pinhole vents inside the reservoir will allow the atmospheric pressure to operate inside the gun prior to spraying the paint. The rubber paint could be either chlorinated rubber paint or synthetic rubber paint which has different quality and characteristics. Chlorinated rubber paint is very flexible and adaptable hence it is applicable both for exterior and interior painting purposes. Synthetic rubber paint, on the other hand, is stretchable and dries quickly on surfaces, saving operation time and cost as well.
Spray painting rubber coats work on the principle of forcing the rubber paints out through the air cap of the spray gun using the atmospheric pressure and disperse the paint particles on the surfaces of the substrates. By increasing the transfer efficiency of the spray gun, the surfaces could be coated nicely using the rubber paint which saves a lot of time and hence make the process of coating shorter. By combining the advantage of spray and rubber painting, you could save the maintenance time and cost as well for your facilities which will, in turn, reduce the downtime of your industry operation.
